Many people's view of the perfect chalet would see the combination of a rustic farmhouse or barn, with all the modern touches which make life that little bit easier than it was 200 years ago. You might also hope that you'd be able to relax around a burning log fire, and find an aperitif nestling in your hands before sitting down to an evening of gastronomic delight. And that's what Kit and I provide at La Ferme D'Elie.

We provide a fully catered service at La Ferme, along with a host of extra bits and bobs which we know make all the difference. Dropping you to and from the lifts, even (or especially!) if you've lingered a little too long in the apres-ski bar; providing ski hosting and generally doing whatever it takes to make your holiday a pleasure. La Ferme is also available on a self-catered basis if booking the entire chalet.(Summer only)

The chalet is situated about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Morzine, and 5 minutes from the centre of Montriond. However, in addition to the minibus service mentioned above, the chalet is also on the "navette" bus route which goes to both Morzine and Ardent (for access to Avoriaz).

The chalet is extremely spacious, with incredible views of Morzine - especially from the south facing balcony accessed from the large open-plan dining area. All bedrooms are ensuite and very well appointed, and there's even a sauna to ease weary legs (and arms, back, neck etc.) after a hard day on the mountain.

We have all free-to air UK TV channels, DVD, Hifi and iPod docking station, XBOX, Nintendo Wii, internet access and a large selection of books and board games for more traditional forms of entertainment. But with the log fire roaring and after a couple of glasses of red wine you may just want to have a bit of a snooze.

There is space for several cars to park, and in the summer we also have a table tennis table.
