There are so many activities to experience while in Morzine. We able to book and organize any of the following activities once you arrive in resort.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

This sport is extremely popular from gentle rides around the town to down hill racing tracks. Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets have one of the best summer lift networks in the world, with 24 lifts open all summer. The Portes du Soleil area offers 380km of marked itineraries, for down hill riders there's a permanent descent trail in Morzine which is technical and exhilarating being 3250 meters long.

Mountain biking is a great way to spend the day with the family or friends taking in the great views and fresh mountain air.

Several shops offer mountain bikes for hire from trail, free ride or descent.

We will be able to advise you about accompanying guides, or point you in the right direction the choice is yours.

At the chalet you have good size garage to store mountain bikes, there's a hose for washing bikes down and a drying room. The garage is very secure.

WATER PARK

In the centre of Morzine there's a Olympic swimming pool, this offers a safe Child's swimming area with slides and water fountains, there's a flume for the older children. Around the pool you have deck chairs and parasols also a grassy area to sunbathing and relaxing. Many activities go on at the water park, beach volley ball, table tennis, water polo, scuba diving and mini football. The water park is open in July and August from 8am to 7pm .

TENNIS

Morzine has 10 tennis courts that you are able to hire, courts can be adapted for all ages. The tennis courts are open from 8am to 8:30pm . Tennis courses are available for individuals and groups.

HORSE RIDING

If you would like to see the mountains by horse back this a great opportunity to do so the riding center is based in Morzine and offers all different levels of treks, if you just want a gentle hour's ride around the river or a whole day tracking in the mountains. Group or individual lessons are available.

Right by the riding school a mini farm is situated so that young child can feed, touch and learn how to care for the animals.

GOLF

The Morzine-Avoriaz golf course is at an altitude of 1600m with great view of the surrounding mountains, it offers a 9 hole, 36 par and a total length of 2930 meters. The course is fairly challenging and requires a certain level of fitness. If you were looking for a 18 hole golf course you can find one in Les Gets. If you fancied traveling a little further a field, Chamonix and Evian also have excellent 18 hole golf courses. All these courses can be booked in resort, we are able to help arrange transport equipment etc.

MOUNTAIN WALKS / HIKES

Morzine has Numerous amounts of walks from easy walks through the villages and hamlets to glacier hikes, roped up with crampons to take you up higher and into a world that has wonderful views of the villages below.

At the chalet we have lots of maps of the local area so you can plan a safe route to follow, if you do want to go for a high attitude hike there's numerous amounts of local guides on hand to show you the way.

CANYONING

This is not for the faint hearted, you start by abseiling from a bridge, and then you'll experience using natural water slides and jumping into mountain streams. All equipment provided. This activity is based at the Nyon waterfall.

From 14yrs up, 1/2 a day or a full day.

SUMMER SLEDGING

Morzine has two summer sledging slopes great for young and old. The slopes are open from the end of June till September. Costs vary depending on how many runs you would like to do. Children from 5-8 years are free but must be accompanied by an adult.

MOUNTAIN BOARDING

Based on the Pleney, mountain boarding is just like snow boarding but on grass and the board has wheels. A button lift takes you to the top of the hill and you ride down a marked course. Lessons are available and equipment can be hired from the mountain boarding centre.

PARAGLIDING

To experience tranquility from the sky's above, floating through the clouds looking down on Morzine with a birds eye view. If you want to do a tandem flight or would like to take the complete training course to become a pilot yourself, this is readily available to all.

CASCADE ADVENTURE / INDIANA PARC

Walking in the tree tops, using ladders, rope bridges and a zip cable all over a waterfall this is great fun for all ages.

For younger children the Indiana Parc is really good a similar design just on a small scale. Both are registered sites with fully qualified instructors.

FISHING

Several fishing sites are on hand in and around Morzine. Montriond lake, Mines d'Or lake and the river Dranse. The river Dranse runs through Morzine down to lake Geneva, if you are patience you might be lucky another to catch the highly prized Leman trout. Fishing permits can be issued in Morzine, also hiring of equipment.

BUNGY JUMPING

Jumping from 80 meters high out of a gondola car? you are able to do this from the Telepherique de Nyon gondola car. Bungy jumping starts from April right through to October.

WHITE WATER RAFTING

Just 25 mins out of Morzine you are able to experience several different ways to come down the white water! "AN" rafting centre is a well organized centre with friendly qualified in structures ready to help you into your wet suits and have a great couple of hours playing in the water.

Rafting- This a 8 person raft plus guide which takes you down the river, bumping into rocks and splashing through waves.

Hot dogging- It comprises of a 2/3 per person raft you and your friends are in sole control of the raft guiding it down the river a instructor is in another raft making sure you are going the right way. This is great fun especially if you like to get wet.

Hydro speeding- You have an individual float (a bit like a body board) which you guide down the river, your are wearing flipper these help with speed and control. Another great way to enjoy the out doors.

"AN" rafting provides all equipment, wetsuits, helmet, shoes and life jacket.

WATER SKIING - WAKE BOARDING

Just 50 minutes form morzine you have Lake Geneva , the lake is 70km long and 25km wide with minimal traffic it's excellent for water skiing or wake boarding. You are able to spend the day with a friendly, patient instructor learning how to ride the wake, if you are a beginner or advanced your needs can be catered for.

The boat is based in a beautiful marina which has a play area for children, safe swimming and a restaurant so if you just wanted to go along for the day and enjoy being down by the lake there's plenty to do and see.

PLACES TO VISIT

Chamonix and the Mont Blanc mountain range, just 50 minutes drive and you will be able to see one of the most amazing sights – the beautiful and magnificent “ Mont Blanc”.

A cable car runs throughout the year to the top of the agwee de midi, showing off the best views of the Mont Blanc and surrounding French and Italian mountains.

The Cog railway runs around Chamonix , up and through the mountains to a glacier, which you are able to walk into and admirer.

Chamonix offers a wide range of sight seeing, but it is very popular with climbers and has lots of extreme sports on offer.

Evian-les-bains has a fantastic view across lake Geneva – it only takes 45 minutes from the chalet and has a water park for all ages. Evian is home to a golf course, casino and many fine restaurants “one of our favourite places”.

Annecy is regarded as the shopping district, if shopping is not you're thing then there's a lake where you can hire boats for a relaxing day on the water – 1hour and 20mins from Morzine.

Yvoire – the medieval city, 50 minutes drive from Morzine. Walk around the streets of this historical town and examine the architectural beauty, visit the local art gallery's, dine at the local restaurants. Yvoire is situated on lake Geneva and offers a trip along to Evian on a large boat “well worth the time and the money”.

Geneva - the Swiss capital an hours drive from the chalet, Geneva has a superb water park for the children and offers a wide range of shopping for all adults.

Devils gorge – Take a guided tour around the gorge where water has carved its way through rock over the years to produce a spectacular sight. 30 minutes drive and highly recommended.
